BGES was engaged to deliver the complete electrical and security installation for the new changeroom extension at McGilp Recreation Park, constructed by BluBuilt for the City of Playford. The project involved upgrading the site’s existing electrical infrastructure while providing modern services to support the expanded community sporting facility.
Works included the installation of a new main switchboard, distribution board, consumer mains and underground reticulation, together with new power, lighting, emergency and exit lighting systems throughout the building. BGES also coordinated the upgrade of the site’s electrical supply with SA Power Networks, ensuring a seamless transition to the new infrastructure while carefully staging works to minimise disruption to the existing facility.
The project also incorporated power supplies for mechanical and hydraulic services, intelligent lighting controls, comprehensive earthing systems, and a standalone Integriti electronic security and fire detection system to provide reliable protection for the new amenities building.
From initial infrastructure upgrades through to commissioning and handover, BGES delivered a complete electrical solution that provides McGilp Recreation Park with a safe, modern and energy-efficient facility designed to support the growing needs of the local sporting community.
